In Rhineland-Palatinate, courses of study in accordance with § 5 par. 5 of the Higher Education Act (Hochschulgesetz) are usually accredited before they begin. As a system-accredited university, JGU offers its faculties and subjects the possibility of internal accreditation of their bachelor's and master's programs. As a rule, the internal procedure stipulates that the accreditation has been completed by the senate before establishing the degree program.
As a rule, accreditation is limited. After expiry of the respective deadline, the courses will be examined again in the form of a reaccreditation.
Further information on internal accreditation (or reaccreditation) can be found on the website for the Center for Quality Assurance and Development (ZQ).
